Sea Turtle Conservation Study Abroad Program in Colombia

 Join Us for a Once-in-a-Lifetime Conservation Experience

Experience an 14-day hands-on sea turtle conservation program in Santa Marta, Colombia, a breathtaking coastal location with rich marine biodiversity. Work directly with endangered loggerhead and hawksbill sea turtles at an aquarium located right on the beach.


What You’ll Do:

Receive expert training and actively participate in all aspects of sea turtle conservation

Feed, medicate, care for, collect data, tag, and prepare turtles for release

Work with a head-start program where hatchlings are raised for 10 months to increase survival rates

Help release one adult rescued loggerhead and 200 juvenile loggerhead and hawksbill sea turtles

Personally release at least one turtle into the wild


Program Details:

 Location: Santa Marta, Colombia 

(Arrival airport is Cartagena, Colombia)

Dates: May 13-May 26, 2026 - FEE - $2450

 Aquarium located directly on the beach

Housing and local transportation included

 Bilingual staff member from Moore Marine College living and working alongside participants
